Permittee Monitoring on Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest

In the winter of 1996, Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) Supervisor Sandra Key asked a BTNF Permittee and past President of the National Public Lands Council, Truman Julian to select and head a committee of permittees, University of Wyoming and BTNF personnel . The purpose of the committee was to develop a protocol which permittees could employ in voluntarily collecting Rangeland Monitoring data on their allotments. The committee developed a draft protocol which permittees could follow in working with their range specialist. The protocol prescribes the relationships, the data's use by permittee and BTNF, and suggests methodology which are quick and simple.
